This French denier tournois from the state of Dombes is weak in the center but has very strong legends and near-VF detail on the obverse, an attractive, problem-free coin. The obverse features a bust facing right and the inscription GASTON V P F D ("Gaston, beneficiary Prince of Dombes"). The reverse features the three fleur-de-lis, the date and the inscription DENIER TOVRNOIS (the denomination).

This coin is unlisted in Krause but is similar to KM 29, except the obverse inscription is normally known to be "GASTON V F P D" and the date of this coin is 1653 (only 1649 and 1652 are listed)
